Salt City DISHES

We know that there are pockets of people in this city who want to make Syracuse a more dynamic place to live. We also know that not all of these people may know one another, or have the means to put their ideas into practice. Most important, we recognize that a person doesn’t have to be a Rockefeller to support community development or the arts.

We've seen what this can do to build community in other areas -- it's inspiring. We'd like to see that happen here.

So once a season, we get together on the Northside to share a delicious meal, listen to one another's suggestions for a community-based arts project, and vote on the project that has the most potential. The winners take home a grant to realize their project - and return to the following DISHES dinner to tell us about how it went.
