About FEAST Toronto

FEAST Toronto is a participatory dinner and micro-funding event that supports creative projects with community involvement. Artists, designers and groups are invited to present proposals for art-or design-based, community-oriented projects during the dinner. Everyone attending the dinner votes on which project they would like to fund, and the project with the most votes is given a grant from the money that is raised from the dinner.

FEAST was founded by by Amber Landgraff and Deborah Wang, who organized FEAST 01 with chef Lisa Myers. Our first dinner was co-presented with XPACE Cultural Centre, sponsored by A Space Gallery and Amsterdam Beer, and supported by Fuse Magazine. FEAST 02 is a collaboration between Amber, Deborah and Dave Morgan. Food for FEAST is the creative endeavour of Lisa Myers. FEAST is co-presented with XPACE Cultural Centre. Past and present sponsors and supporters include A Space Gallery, Amsterdam Beer, Fuse Magazine, and the Gladstone Hotel.

FEAST Toronto is modelled after FEAST Brooklyn.

[Note that there are approx. 8-12 proposals presented at each FEAST; however, only the winning proposals are featured here.]
